UNFINISHED HOUSE IN A VERY BEAUTIFUL VILLAGE NEAR ALBENA AND BALCHIK

The village is situated in North-East Bulgaria (Balchik Municipality, Dobrich District), 15km southwest of Balchik and 6-7km to the west of the Albena seaside resort. It spreads over the left bank of the Batova river.
Nearby, archeologists have discovered remains of an old Muslim tomb and a hostel for travellers. The tomb is well-preserved and believed to host a Turkish saint. The hostel dates back to the 16th c., when Sulleyman II ruled the Ottoman Empire.
A large part of the Baltata nature sanctuary (else called Batova Gora) is included within the boundaries of the village�s adjacent lands. It hosts the most northern and best preserved longose (i.e. tropical-type) forest in Bulgaria.
