The house is situated in the North - eastern part of the republic of Bulgaria, which is in Dobrich region - Balchik Municipality. The village lies 23km away from the seaside town of Balchik, and 12km away from the district town of Dobrich. The village has existed ever since Roman times and was previously known as Krushevo. The village is surrounded by forests and marshes that protect it from strong winds. The surrounding area is inhabited by migrating birds that are the main tourist attraction of the village. There are 137 permanently occupied houses, with 7 of them having been bought by foreigners. Besides, the village has 26 villas and an ostrich farm.

The village is gloriously peaceful with very little traffic – donkey and cart being the locals’ favoured mode of transport – and it has a village shop serving fresh local produce to cater for your daily needs. One great benefit of village living is that all this fresh organically grown local produce is available from the village shop which also stocks any basics you might have run out of, from toilet tissue, toothpaste and washing powder to eggs, milk, butter, wine and beer. Don’t worry about not speaking Bulgarian. The Bulgarians are a very friendly people and with several English families having bought homes in the village they are very good at communicating without language. The village is also situated on one of the 2 main global stork thoroughfares, giving opportunity to see these amazing birds in flight or nesting nearby in seasonal times.

A car is recommended to enjoy the area to the full. Traffic in this part of the Black Sea coast is very light and traffic jams are unheard of.

This brick house is incomplete and has no furniture. It was build 10 years ago. There is no inner bathroom or toilet but it has septic tank so it won’t be difficult to install an internal W.C.
