The Pamporovo ski resort is situated in Smolyan district 1650m above sea level. It is situated in the south parts Rhodopes Mountain - at the foot of peak Snejanka (1926m). The distance to the capital city of Sofia is 260km and 85km to Plovdiv (Bulgaria�s second-largest city).
Pamporovo is the sunniest winter resort in Bulgaria. There the winter is soft, but with a lot of snow, and the number of the sunny days during the season from December to May comes up to 120 days. The average January temperature is about 3 C. The climate is exclusively healthy.
